My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to complete 100 skips every day in October to help raise money for Cancer Research. I’m 68 and feel blessed to be here living my best life! I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been affected in one way or another by Cancer! My personal story is, My dad passed from stomach cancer aged 46 I was 12, My mom had cervical cancer aged 54 and due to amazing treatment she lived to 84 & passed in 2007. I lost my sister to breast cancer aged 60 2yrs post diagnosis in 2008. In February this year my Brother to lung cancer aged 75, approx 15 yrs ago @ 59 he was diagnosed with colon cancer twice, I can’t help thinking if it wasn’t for ongoing research into treatment etc., we would have lost him sooner! In between he lived a good life and we all made lots of amazing memories. So here I am, not feeling sorry for myself, Just grieving & hoping to raise some much needed funds for CRUK ! If you can only afford £1, they all add up & every £1 counts. Thank you for taking the time to read my story xxx
