My Story
Round 3 | Scottish Edition! 🏴 Hai, for anyone that doesn't know - I'm Sam and this will be my third year doing the Night Shine walk! This year will be a little bit different as I'll walking around Edinburgh instead of London. Let's the story but as short as possible; I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer (originally before spread) in March of 2019. To say I was beyond scared was an understatement but on top of that, I was pregnant. I'd been through surgeries, and many many cycles of aggressive treatments and countless bad days - however I'd reached remission in December of last year. 5 long hard years was over. However- its never over. New diagnosis happen everyday, it destroys lives continuously and one day I want to reach a day where I don't have to worry about cancer. So - fuck cancer! This is why I continue doing the Night Shine Walks and these fundraisers, to support those battling cancer, for better treatments and support for them and their families!
