HAS CANCER AFFECTED YOUR FAMILY ? I would like to take a moment and share what happened to our family just a few months ago .... Just days after celebrating the arrival of new year 2018 & being excited about the year ahead - we received the devastating news that Satti (My Beautiful Sister & Tania’s Masi/Aunty) had been diagnosed CANCER. She was informed after an emergency MRI that she had an aggressive tumour growing in her body that needed to be removed urgently. We hear the C word a lot. Nowadays we hear it more than we ever did in our Desi families. In fact - it has become quite frequent that we hear of it affecting families that we know. BUT until now it had never hit one of our own. THAT IS WHEN IT BECAME REAL. Our family rallied around with support & Satti’s been extremely brave. She has had the surgery to remove the tumour. and is now half way through Chemotherapy (which in itself is a huge challenge too). We are extremely relieved that she is OK so far and hopeful for a brighter future. Cancer is not a disease that just affects a single person- Rather it is a ‘poison’ that impacts the lives of everyone connected to that person too. Cancer has touched our family - and has startled us with the imprint that it has left... As a mother & daughter team we, Pammi & Tania want to raise as much money as we can to go towards Education, Prevention and Treatment of Cancer so that fewer families have to suffer the pain & anguish. We know we are truly blessed to have our family member still with us and fighting hard!
