Kate Hardy's Race for Life
Norwich 10K 2019
Sun 12 May 2019 - Sun 12 May 2019
I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner.
In memory of
Sandra Sewell, Betty Woodwards, Viviene Beet, Linda Hill, Elsie Jones & Grissom
33 years ago, when I was 20, I lost my mum to cancer. I've lost other family members to cancer; I have close family and friends fighting it right now; and I really want to make a difference. Which is why, even though I hate running (and I'm terrified I'm going to slip and wreck my knee again), I'm doing the 10K this year. I'm running the whole thing, not walking. (So that's a first for me - when I did the 5k with my daughter, six years ago, we half-walked, half-jogged.) Money's tight, I know. But if you could sponsor my run for 50p or £1 or the price of a cup of coffee, I'd be ever so grateful. Every penny helps make a difference, and together we can raise money to help scientists beat this disease. And if you can't afford anything, please just wish me well on my training and fundraising efforts. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Kate Hardy (who some of you will know as Pam - two names, same person, same goal :) )
