I’m trying to raise as much as I can to beat cancer
My Story
Hi - I'm taking part in an Ironman on July 25th. An Ironman is a 2.4 mile swim followed by 112 mile cycle and finished off with a full 26.2 mile marathon run. I'm excited and terrified all at the same time! Over the last 12 months whilst we've all experienced some of the strangest and scariest of times I decided to commit myself to achieving a lifetime goal - to complete an Ironman before I'm 50! Although taking part is a huge personal goal for me I wanted to try and give some thing back at the same time and that's why I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK. The coronavirus pandemic has been devastating for many people around the world and I hope we can see a near term future where our lives can return to normal, but even when that day comes the world's largest killer - Cancer- will still affect 1 in 2 of us. I'd like to do my part to try and bring an end to Cancer and I hope you'll support me in trying to do so too. In these tough times if you can afford to donate I'd be enormously grateful but I completely understand if its not possible too. Thanks for reading Best Owen
