Our Race for Life

Two years ago, we lost someone very special to us to the awful disease, cancer. Cancer doesn't just stop when somebody dies. It lives on in the hearts of friends and family and for us, there is a hole in our lives that we have to cope with every day. Brenda was the backbone of our family and loving and caring for us was the most important thing to her. She would always go above and beyond to make certain she gave us the absolute best lives, no matter what sacrifices she went through in this process. She was selfless, generous and kindhearted- not only did we lose a mother, granny and auntie, we lost a great friend. Even when diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, we will always remember how incredibly strong and brave she was. The money raised for Cancer Research is used for vital research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer affecting men, women and children. Unfortunately, we can never bring our mum back, but by raising money for Cancer Research UK we can make a difference to other families affected and hopefully bring closer the day we can say "we've done it, we've beaten cancer".
