My Story
Between April and September 2021 I'm aiming to cycle 5,000 km* (3,000 miles) to raise money for Cancer Research UK. That's 32 km (20 miles) per day on average. I will reach my target by training for and completing two big events: 25th April: Round London Ultra https://cycle.london-revolution.com/route/ultra/ - 250km (155 miles) in one day - 2,246 m (7,369 ft) of climbing UPDATE: We did it... https://www.strava.com/activities/5192806353/overview 4th-12th September: Lands End to John O'Groats https://www.rideacrossbritain.com/route/classic-9-day/ - 1,572 km (977 miles) in 9 days - 16,011 m (52,529 ft) of climbing If the Ride Across Britain is postponed we'll find a suitably difficult and covid-compliant alternative. Please donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured! *Strava API is only going back to 19th June, by which time I had done 1,437km, so I set the target on this page at 5,000 - 1,437 = 3,573km
