I'm running the London Marathon for Cancer Research UK to beat cancer sooner.
My Story
On the 28th April 2019 I will be running the London marathon to raise money for Cancer Research. This is a charity close to my heart because, like so many other families, we had our own brush with cancer when my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2012. Fortunately, due to the amazing work and research done by charities like Cancer Research, he has now been cancer free for 5 years. I have wanted to run a marathon for several years even though technically I’m the wrong body shape for long distance running. I have been training hard, although have yet to discover the ‘running bug'! Thank you for reading this and for your support. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
