My Story

No family goes untouched by the dreaded ‘C’ these days, and mine is no exception. But thankfully, because of the research carried out and treatments formulated, despite many tough times over the past 10 years, we have been lucky (and still are), that ongoing treatments are working and we still have our loved ones with us. If it wasn’t for the progress made, research carried out and treatments formulated, that may not be the case. It’s for this reason I’m again donning the walking shoes for another 26 mile walk, this time overnight, to help raise money (and further awareness) for this amazing cause! Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please, please, if you can, help in any way by donating anything at all! Let’s help to keep our families free from this horrible disease in the future xx Nuala xx

CAUSE

Bowel cancer

Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
