My Story
Nine years ago, I lost my mum to cancer, and it changed my life in ways that are difficult to put into words. Cancer Research UK is therefore a cause that will always be incredibly personal to me. This November, I wanted to do something positive in her memory and help raise money for a cause that affects so many people and their families. I’m unlikely to be running a marathon anytime soon, but anyone who knows me knows that I devour books! 📚 So, reading every day throughout November felt like the perfect challenge for me. It’s a simple challenge, but one that means a lot. Every page I turn will be a little reminder of why I’m doing this and who I’m doing it for. 💜 If you’re able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every contribution, share and word of encouragement means a lot. And book recommendations are always welcome too!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
