My Story
Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. In February, 2013, I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. It was a shock for myself and for my family. I went through chemotheraphy. Life was not the same, it was very difficult but I kept hoping and praying for the best. I was emotionally, physically and financially affected My family was devastated. I stood firm that no matter what, life has to move on. I have to accept the reality in life with this excruciating experience. Last year in February, (I was still under remission) a friend convinced me to register for the "race for life" while waiting for the result of my blood tests and Ct scan. I kept my fingers crossed that everything would be all right. Two weeks before the walk in July 2018, my oncologist declared that everything was clear. Hooray! It was a big relief for myself and for my family. It is my strong faith that counts. I am forever very thankful to my friends and family, the NHS and John Lewis Partnetship for all the support they have given me. This is my second year to join the 5k walk As a cancer survivor I have the passion and commitment to join the " RACE FOR LIFE" on Sunday, 28 July, 2019.11:00am at Hyde Park. Cancer is happening right now, someone very close to me is still battling this, the reason also why I’m fundraising for Cancer Research UK. Let's raise awareness to prevent this disease. Together we will beat cancer. There’s no time to lose! Please donate to my page today. Every pound you share will go for a great cause. My best regards and A BIG THANK YOU! Nollie❤
