Niobe's Race for Life

Hi everyone! Cancer is something which we all grow up knowing about, probably more so than any other illness. Taking part in this Race for Life has not only brought me personal achievements and a new hobby - it can do much more. With your donation, Cancer Research UK can continue its groundbreaking work to help the 1 in 2 people who will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I've never been a runner. Prior to signing up, I'd never run more than a couple of km outdoors before giving up, and had run 5km on a treadmill in 2020 before deciding that once was enough!! Training is allowing me to push my body further than I ever have before, and to be honest I've been very impressed that it can do far more than I expected! My Grandpa passed away after battling cancer when I was 11, before I really understood what it was, and the illness is constantly affecting the lives of people we all know.
