My Story
When a work friend asked if I would like to join her on the Shine Night Walk, I thought what a good opportunity to raise some money in the battle against the Big C! I have known and know many people connected to this disease. Some have survived, some have lost their fight, some have had loved ones taken too early and some have had loved ones come through the other side. Medicine has advanced so much over the years, but still the battle continues and will only improve through events like this. I have supported charity and continue each month now, but I have never really 'done' anything, so I thought why not be up for a challenge! It might be a bit ambitious, but I'm hoping all the dog-walking and school runs, plus the running around on a daily basis will put me in good stead....not forgetting the ultimate motivation - to raise as much money as possible!! Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.
