My Story
After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. That's why I'll be taking part in a Very 2020 Race for Life. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please give what you can . I won’t let 2020 stop me from doing my bit my dad never would of so I take my strength from him , he may not of made it through his cancer but he would want us to keep trying for others to fight it , to give their families the support and love they need . Cancer is unfair and unjust It doesn’t care about anyone so by us fighting and doing our bit even if it is just 5 k a walk, jog or run it’s beating cancer, let it chase me if it wants but I don’t ever want to lose anyone to it again . My dads fight was hard going but short we had no time to prepare for it devastating to see him die the way he did but everyday I spent with him made me a stronger person seeing his strength shine through even though he knew himself I’d never make it . So cancer I’m doing this for my darling Dad (Tony Jones) you know you took him from me but I’m not going to let you take his memory not ever . So Dad as you look down from Heaven on the 26th September 2020 know I’m doing this for you . I’ll never forget you , although your gone from sight your with me always I carry you in my heart daily and my memories of you I treasure so dearly . You made me the person I am and for that I thank you . Love you dad . X
