I'm taking part in Race for Life because a) we need to beat the living heck out of cancer and b) my Mum is an amazing lady who has more than done her bit to send it packing.
My Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer around new year, and since then has been on a treatment journey that would leave a cage fighter crying in the corner. Not my Mum- she's faced it bravely and with her usual humour and take-no-crap attitude. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
