My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As some of you maybe aware my wife, Pat, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year, so I’m trying to help cancer research help others who find themselves in a similar position by finding a cure that doesn’t involve the Chemotherapy that she had to endure. I’m going to immerse myself in cold water every day in March to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. My aim is to do 1 minute for every day of the month, so 1 minute on the 1st, 2 minutes on the second right up to 31 minutes on the 31st. Those of you who know me well, will know that I love the sun & the heat, so this will be taking me right out of my comfort zone but with the help of my mentor in all things related to Cold Water Immersion, Gary Chambers, I am hoping that I can meet this challenge.
