Nicole & Megan 2020 Race for Life
Hi everyone, Myself and Megan are running the race for life this year for 2 very special people close to our heart. Myself (Nicole) is running for Dec. For anyone that doesn't know Dec is my cousins (Hayley & Beth) little brother who has been diagnosed for the 2nd time with Leukaemia. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned vigorously and Dec now only has a limited time left. Please read Hayley & Beth's story below- For those of you who won't know our story... When my little brother Dec was 6 he was diagnosed with leukaemia. He managed to fight it and he recovered. He is now 15. He has been through so much in his short life so far but he is so strong and and such a wonderful character and brother to have. During lockdown he sadly got poorly, tests showed that his leukaemia had returned and we were told to prepare for the worst because his body won't respond to treatment, A mass was then found on his chest and the cancer has spread to his spinal fluid and bone marrow and it is now incurable. His consultant predicts he has very limited time left with us. Megan is also running the race for life in support of another family member, Jasmine who is also 15 and has recently undergone a battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Please join us in supporting these very special people and raising more awareness for cancer research. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. That's why I'll be taking part in a Very 2020 Race for Life. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work.
