Last April i was diagnosed with cervical cancer! I had stage 1b1 grade 3, i had a radical hysterectomy followed by 5 weeks of intensive chemoradiotherapy.
I now get followed up every 3 months & fingers crossed in 5 years i can say I'm cancer free!
The first question i asked my oncologist when i found out was "am i going to die?" No-one should ever have to ask this question & with us all pulling together one day everyone will beat cancer!!! Please support me how ever little (not sure how i will do 5k as I'm still suffering with side effects from my treatment), but with Chloe by my side reminding me why i had to beat cancer, i will do it.
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives.
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me.
