My Story

I have been lucky enough that cancer has not touched my family. But I have had a scare a couple of years ago where a mass was discovered and I was whipped through the investigation process as if it was cancer. Every moment counts. My friends however, have not been so lucky. I have three that are currently battling cancer. Each one of them have a special and unique place in this world and it is way too soon for it to be their time. One was trying to start a family when an investigation into her fertility discovered ovarian cancer. One is raising two young boys who need her attention daily. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Another with 6 children, one just a toddler has cancer of the thyroid. I am so very grateful to modern science and technology for how treatment for cancer has improved over the years, and its all down to charities such as this one that funds the research into these advancements. With your help, we can work together to see that children no longer have to loose a mother to this awful illness.
