We’re taking part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life to help the charity continue its amazing work in the advancement of cancer treatments.
My Story
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime so it’s not too shocking to hear that we have both had close family and friends affected by this life altering illness. However due to the fantastic research that has gone into cancer treatments, we’re extremely fortunate to be able to say that those close to us have had their lives saved and for the most part, they have continued to live healthy, fulfilling lives. Neither of us are runners (or even mildly athletic) but we’re donning our trainers and taking part in Epsom’s Race for Life 5k, to help support Cancer Research UK in its groundbreaking work. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
