My Story
Well what a year 2020 has been. Cancer has left my family heartbroken before, it has left my children knowing grief far too young with the cruel loss of a dear friend, and now it is trying to break my family again. More has to be done, cancer doesn’t stop in a pandemic, it goes on dividing and spreading unnoticed and testing delayed, leaving more families torn apart with broken hearts with prognosis that are gut wrenching. You think it won’t happen to you, to the good ones, the fit and healthy, well it does and it hurts, and the rare is not so rare. Survival rates for some cancers haven’t moved on in decades which is pretty shameful! Am I angry.....yes! I would run the globe a million times over if I thought it would do any good to stop the heartache, but for now this is all I can do. I will be doing other fundraising events and will continue to do so as I feel so strongly about this, but if you have anything to spare now, please feel free to drop us some pennies! xx We won’t let 2020 stop us.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
