This will be our 6th Year taking part in Race for Life as a family, Myself, Barry, Felix and Robyn,for the first year Barry is allowed to officially run, thanks Race for Life.

We started running Race for Life the year after we lost my Dad to prostate cancer. Sadly Cancer strikes too many people we love, we drag around Cassiobury Park complaining and the kids promise they won’t do it next year, until after we finish, then I’m always asked to sign up as soon as possible. Our exercise of choice as a family is cycling, so for me especially to run 5k is a challenge. This year we have been training a little, a bit of a novelty! We have walked, stumbled and jogged the local park run a few times, we are hoping for personal bests this year! Please give what you can, we’d love to say one day that Cancer is no longer strikes fear into those it affects.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
