Run 2 miles a day challenge
Run 2 miles a day, every day throughout September

My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to run 60 miles in September to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. Running two miles a day will be a real challenge for me - not many people know but I have nerve damage in my right foot. I don't often talk about it, I’m not in pain but it does mean I have limited movement in that foot. I gave up any sport or activity with running included in it when it happened. That was over six years ago now. I’m not sure if I can run two miles a day but I’m absolutely determined to try - and if my foot gives out I’ll speed walk the rest of the two miles! Why am I doing this? I’m doing this for Cancer Research in memory of my mam, Jackie Smith. We lost her to breast cancer 10 years ago this month. She was a nurse, incredibly hard-working and I think she’d like the fact I’m getting off my backside, looking after myself while supporting Cancer Research UK! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
