My Story

This year I am taking part in Big Hike to help power progress for people affected by cancer. I remember a time when the statistics suggested that 1 in 5 of us would be affected by cancer in our lifetime. Today, the statistics suggest that number to be 1 in 2. We will all know someone. A person we love and care about. My lovely Mum, my best friend’s husband and three of my friends touched by cancer in the last year. I am taking part in the Big Hike 2025 with a group of ‘Xceptional Ladies’, led and inspired by our lovely friend Carla, who is currently fighting her own battle. We’re fighting it together.
