Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t run, you could say I hate running. I also hate cancer but it is happening right now. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I have been affected by this horrible disease in many ways including being one of the lucky ones to have survived it. Many people don’t, including my mum and dad and many others are still fighting it. For this reason I have decided to start the couch to 5k program with the aim of running the race for life. Yes you read that right I am going to run the race for life this year. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. I want my donation to help others so that everyone can be a survivor like me. I would also love people to come and cheer me on, I’m going to need it.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
