My Story
On 9th April 2015 our Mum, Pam Wright passed away from a rare form of blood cancer called Burkitt's Lymphoma. She was only diagnosed a few weeks before she died. We have decided to take part in the Race for Life again this year in memory of our lovely Mum. We will start together, run together and cross the finish line together; Sisters United. The sun will be shining and Mum will be with us all the way. In July 2015, my husband, Andy was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He is one of the lucky ones to survive, following the removal of his left kidney. In April 2017, he ran the London Marathon in aid of Cancer Research - I thought I'd take an easier route! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
