Hi, thank you so much for coming to my just giving page. So I have decided to take part in this years Long way up challenge. On the 21st June the longest day of the year I will be attempting to ride from Lands End to John O`Groats within 24 hours starting from sunrise in Lands End & hopefully see sunrise in John O`Groats 24 hours later, covering the best part of 1000 miles & no motorways can be used.The challenge is in aid of Cancer Research UK. The motorcycle used for this challenge must cost no more than £600. As I am into my classic bikes I have decided to use a 1974 Honda CB360 which requires a fair amount of work before the 21st June. As I said before this challenge is in aid of cancer research & unfortunately in some way or another we will be effected by it in our lifetimes, so please donate as much as you can. Survival rates for pancreatic cancer remain stubbornly low in the UK, often because the disease is diagnosed late and is difficult to treat. Help Cancer Research UK make progress in one of the biggest research challenges its scientists are facing – to find better ways to detect and treat the disease.
