I'm walking at Shine Night Walk in the fight to beat cancer
In memory of
My Nan Mary who died of Bowel cancer.
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I am doing the Shine Walk in memory of my Nan, who sadly passed away from Bowel cancer before I was born. She was a great supportive figure for her family and a caring wife and mother. When she was diagnosed, it was a tough time for her family and friends as her illness was very visible. She remained strong throughout but on 30th September 1994 she couldn't fight anymore and passed away.
CAUSE
Bowel cancer
Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
