Nenette's Giving Page for Cancer Research UK
Sun 1 Sep 2024 - Mon 30 Sep 2024
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m completing the Walk 30 Miles Challenge throughout September to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. My world which is normally filled with chocolate, for I am a chocolatier, was suddenly turned upside down at the end of January when I was told that I had breast cancer. Since then, I have had 2 operations and, as I type, I am now half way through (Hurrah!!) my chemotherapy treatment with the prospect of radiotherapy to follow. I am lucky in that I have not been impacted too much with the side effects of this treatment so far. And so feel able to take part in this wonderful fund-raising task in September. As the month of September progresses, I shall provide you with updates along the way. At the end of the month, I am hoping to walk with a bunch of friends that I would normally go to fitness classes with in my nearby town of Lutterworth. We will all be celebrating by wearing the most ridiculous headgear we can find. One has already promised Tina Turner! I will have a double celebration then by getting to the end of my chemo treatment - all being well without delays for various reasons - by the end of September! Email me at nenette.scrivener@gmail.com if you'd like to join in too! In the meantime, I should be grateful is you could please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page.
