Big Hike Peak District - Half Marathon 2026
Sun, 14 Jun 2026 - Sun, 14 Jun 2026
My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. This year I am taking part in Big Hike which is taking place around the country in June to help power progress for people affected by Cancer. Every little really does help. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024 and I have now been cancer and treatment free for a year. Having a huge regard and respect for everyone who looked after me along the way, it's time for me to help again too. The last time, I walked 100 miles for Cancer Research UK during September 2024 while I was undergoing my chemo. This time, I shall be walking 2 of the Big Hikes - 13 miles each on consecutive weekends in mid June. The first in the Peak District and the second from Corfe Castle and along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. Now that Easter is over (I am a chocolatier and Easter had to be 'finished first') I shall be starting my training programmee. I've not yet worked out whether my dog will be delighted or not!
