My Story

This year, my best friend Adam and I are taking on a challenge that means far more to us than just crossing a finish line — we’re running a marathon in Scotland in support of Cancer Research UK. For Adam, this run is deeply personal. He lost his granddad to cancer — someone who meant the world to him. Like so many families, cancer has left a mark on his life, and this is our way of honouring his memory while contributing to a cause that affects millions. We’re also doing this as a personal challenge. Training for and completing a marathon isn’t easy — especially in the unpredictable Scottish weather — but that’s part of the point. We want to push ourselves physically and mentally, and turn that effort into something meaningful. This isn’t just about us running 26.2 miles. It’s about raising awareness, supporting life-saving research, and being part of something bigger than ourselves. Every donation, no matter how small, helps fund vital work in prevention, treatment, and hopefully one day, a cure. We’ll be running through Scotland — Adam’s home — with pride, purpose, and a lot of determination. If you’re able to support us, we’d be incredibly grateful.
