I'M TAKING ON SINK OR SWIM: THE CHANNEL CHALLENGE FOR STAND UP TO CANCER

In memory of

MY MUM

My mum Vera died of Pancreatic cancer. As this year is the 10th anniversary of her death, I decided to take on the challenge of swimming 21 miles in the Cancer Research UK, Sink or Swim, Stand up to Cancer Challenge. I am not the best swimmer and this is very much testing my abilities in the pool! I began the swim on 2nd October and to make sure I finish by the 31st October, to fit in with my shift work, I have to swim 1 mile per day or 64 lengths for the challenge. The money raised will help take breakthroughs in the lab and transforms them into treatments and cures for cancer patients who need them right now. Dig deep and donate to help beat cancer at its own game. If you can spare a few pounds, please sponsor my challenge.

Cause

Stand Up to Cancer: LIFE-SAVING RESEARCH

100% of the money you raise goes towards speeding up life-saving research. Every day, scientists and researchers work tirelessly to beat cancer. But lab researchers will not get us there alone. Every penny raised helps speed up breakthroughs in the lab, transforming them into new tests and treatments for patients who need them. The research you fund will help us see 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034.
