My Story
Being based in Scotland, what better way to show off the country’s natural beauty, whilst supporting the groundbreaking work that CRUK carry out, than the North Coast 500… On a bike. I'll be cycling the NC500 in mid-June over the course of a week, from the 14th to the 21st. By donating to my page, you help by bringing forward the day when all cancers will be cured. CRUK aims to take the front foot against the battle with cancer in the hopes of one day beating it. They are dedicated to saving and improving lives through the research they conduct. With an estimated 1 in 2 people getting cancer through their lifetime, cancer research is becoming a requirement in society's world of healthy living. In 1970, the survival rate of cancer stood at 1 in 4, today that has been improved to 2 in 4 with the aim of achieving a survival rate of 3 in 4 by 2034.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
