In memory of
For all those close to our hearts that we have lost or who we are supporting through cancer.
Cancer has touched and impacted my life since before I was born, and continues to touch and impact my life now. I lost my grandma to breast cancer before I had even met her; lost friends parents with cancer throughout my teens and early twenties; I supported friends through cancer treatment during my thirties; then my dad with prostate cancer in my forties. I met my husband, a widower, who had lost his wife to secondary brain cancer leaving two daughters who refer to me a 'Mummy No 2'. I am still supporting friends with the disease now but what is evident is that more and more are surviving - the money we raise does make a difference and is saving lives! Cancer takes its toll on us all, we all know someone that has been affected, but we also know many more who are here to tell the tale, and that my friends, is why we need to continue to raise awareness, raise money and raise our hopes.
