My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. I don't often fundraise, but I feel emotionally compelled to do what I can - anything you can give is greatly appreciated. When I personally think about the number of beautiful people whose life has been taken too early by Cancer, I want to ensure we all do what we can to beat Cancer to ensure the generations to come will not be in the same position. If I think of my closest friends, the number of them who have lost a parent to Cancer it is terrifying. In addition there are many of whom are bravely fighting it now and who have also beaten it for now. This is also to acknowledge you my dear friends and what it has meant to you. Let’s get the number of survivors higher! As a Director within Technology at Cancer Research UK, I want to ensure you that your donations will be spent wisely, 80p in every Pound donated goes directly towards life-saving research. We are the biggest Charity in the UK and one of the world’s largest Cancer charities - we do and we will continue to make a difference to people fighting Cancer worldwide. Not wanting to scare you BUT 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime, and COVID-19 won’t change that. It’s important to contact your doctor if you have any possible signs or symptoms of cancer. Please do not hesitate! For many of my fit and sporty friends 10,000 steps a day is an everyday occurrence - but for those that know me well it is not so for me! I will need to work on it, find the time and get out and about - I will be tracking all steps through my apple watch - no short cuts. Let’s hope there are some bright Sunny days in the UK in March this year - we definitely need them - either way I will be out there. Without vital funds, future cancer research is at risk. Donate now to get us back on track. We want 3 in 4 to survive Cancer by 2034. Keep safe and well my friends. Hope to see and speak soon Best Wishes Tash x
