On 29th March my world was changed forever, I lost my amazing grandad Jim! (Those of you that know me know how special he was to me and how lost I am without him; he taught me all I needed to know about life and I intend to live my life making him proud!) Thankfully he never heard the word cancer but had he survived a few more days he would have discovered he had pancreatic cancer, which had spread to near blood vessels, his liver and potentially his lungs! The signs were so silent and life without him is empty! We all have our own ways of dealing with grief; this is mine - keeping my grandad alive! Doing this to keep my grandad smiling!! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
