Natasha's Race for Life

Cancer Reasearch is a charity that is very close to my heart. When I was just 18 years old my family had to say goodbye to my Uncle Charles because of this horrible disease. He was just 42 years old. The pain of losing a loved one is heartbreaking and the feelings of anger, resentment and the perception of injustice can stay with you for a very long time. I don’t think you ever come to terms with saying goodbye to the special people in your life. You learn to live without them but life is never quite the same. This past year I’ve watched a special friend lose her Mum to cancer and more that ever I want to do something positive. I want to help change the outcome for so many people touched by cancer. I’ve decided to run. I’ve decided to take up the challenge. I’ve never been able to run around the corner let alone complete a 5k run! Thank goodness I’m running it with my lovely friends. I’m excited for the challenge and I am enjoying the training that I’ve started with my local running club. I want to raise money for Cancer Research, I want to make a difference and I believe that together, we can beat this disease. I would appreciate any donation you are able to donate.
