My Story

hello! Thank you for visiting my page. I'm not going to write a massive story so feel free to read on knowing it won't be tomorrow by the time you get to the end! I don't think there is a single person I know today who hasn't been affected by this horrible disease- the big scary "C" in some shape or form. Whether you've battled it , know someone who has had it, has it , or have lost someone because of it. In March 2019 we lost our dad Chas - My 'step dad' since the age of 11 and more of a father to me than my biological sperm donor ever was. It takes some man to raise 4 step children and love them as his own - Chas was that man. The four of us plus 2 more of his own. He supported and loved us all. It was tough seeing him fight this disease right to the very end, it's not something I would ever want to witness again! But unfortunately it can take anyone at any time, the big C is not fussy or picky and unfortunately it chose him. I have decided to walk the Full moonlight shine marathon in his memory, along with a few others who are all walking for someone they too have lost to this disease. It's an awful awful, scary disease that takes whoever it choses, whenever it wants! There must be a cure out there somewhere. Every penny rasied helps towards research for that cure to take place. Please if you can, donate anything you can. If you can't or choose not to, then please just think of me on Saturday 21st September walking 26 miles with 500 million bubbled blisters on each toe and shin splints....while you're all tucked up in your bed dreaming of rainbows and unicorns. Lol
