My Story

As part of my job, I’ve been privileged that women diagnosed with breast cancer and men diagnosed with prostate cancer have decided to share their experiences and stories with me. I’ve witnessed their darkest moments of diagnosis, and also seen the hope that treatments bring them as they strive to live as normal life as possible - going on that dream holiday with friends that they had already booked, continuing to pick their grandchildren up from school, enjoying their Christmas... Their personal stories have allowed our team to improve person centred care for many more patients behind them, and CRUK have also funded many of our studies - I would really like to do something in return. This Race for Life is for those patients who allowed me to share their journey, and for someone very special fighting a very brave battle right now - any donation will be very much appreciated!
