My story - It was only a month ago my husband went to the doctors after discovering some blood in his wee, he was fast tracked for bloods then an cystoscopy & an ultra sound on his kidney..through this they discovered a lump & was then sent for a ct scan. We were then asked to see the consultant who explained he had a cancerous tumour & required surgery ASAP. By the time I do this walk he would of had surgery & we are hoping well on to his recovery. I lost my mum a few years back to lung cancer & even though we are going through the worse time the more money for research the more successes there will be. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
