Natalie and Sarah are doing The Shine Night Walk
Sat 22 Sep 2018
I'm walking at Shine Night Walk in the fight to beat cancer.
My Story
Cancer continues to affect the lives of our friends and family. We have both seen people we care about suffering either directly or supporting loved ones who are battling. Its a horrible disease. We want to do our bit to support research to find kinder treatments and ultimately a cure. Although, I (Natalie) have been running for a number of years, its been a long time since I have covered over 10km and never more than a half marathon (many years ago now). Never thinking I could do a marathon. Being on my feet for that long fills me with anxiety! Sarah is used to being on her feet more (nurses/midwives don't get to sit down as much as us Psychologists) but the distance is a challenge. We are training hard and really want to take on this as a challenge with a time to beat. On our Mondays off while the kids are at school, the Aldi shop must wait and we walk, and we walk. Elvis has been supporting us on training walks making it look sooooo easy. He would so this no problems - we need a bit more self-belief! Please give what you can to support and motivate us. Thank You!

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
