2019 Virgin Money London Marathon

On 28 April, I will be running the Virgin Money London Marathon. People who know me know that I love running, but this is going to be like nothing I have done before - 26.2 miles is a long way! Forgetting the distance, to be able to take part in the London Marathon is a dream come true already, but I am also raising money for a brilliant charity, Cancer Research UK. It's so sad that there are still so many people suffering from cancer. Never would I have thought that in 2019, we'd still be fighting an illness that affects, or takes, the lives of so many. That said, the progress being made in research and survival rates is amazing. There are some outstanding achievements being made in this area, but it all needs funding. The more funding there is, the faster progress can be made. Having known too many people suffer from this illness, I want to be able to help all of the great work that this charity does. Any donations, no matter how big or small, are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all of your support!

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
