I currently have a very special and close friend fighting breast cancer,

Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.

Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.

We all are likely to be affected by someone that has battled, maybe lost their battle or is still battling cancer, I have had family members go through the treatment. But my main reason for doing this is to show support to a very special friend of mine that is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Sharon is a true inspiration and is facing the treatment full on and with a great attitude. We cant do much to help her in the sense of treatment wise, but we can do something to show how much we love and support her. By doing this is a way to look to the future for cancer and continue to develop the treatment methods to help in beating the disease. No one knows what's around the corner, and cancer can affect anyone of us. Please support me in this challenge, which will be difficult but that I know is no where near as difficult as what my friend is going through.

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
