My Story
On the 20th July 2018 our beautiful Mum lost her life to breast cancer. She was only 59. It came as a massive shock to us all, we had only 3 short days to come to terms with it all and say our goodbyes. Mum never had the courage to see her doctor or have any of her regular checks, mammograms, smear tests etc. So she didn’t even give herself the chance to fight. She has left a massive hole in all our lives, we are totally heartbroken. Us, her Grandchildren, her Dad, her Sisters, her Neices and Nephews, her Partner of over 20 years! She can never be replaced. We are running race for life this year to help raise awareness and hopefully a bit of money too. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. One person is diagnosed every 10 minutes. But breast cancer survival is improving and has doubled in the past 40 years in the UK. So people, please be vigilent, check yourselves regularly, go for your checkups and always see your doctor with any concerns. If Mum had, she might have still been with us! Now, none of us are great runners, if runners at all, so any donations would be very gratefully received to help encourage our slightly over weight, getting older, broken bodies over the finish line 😄 Thanks for taking the time to read! Wish us luck. Lots of Love Nannette, Amanda & Sarah ❤️XXX❤️
