Nancy's Walk 100 Miles Challenge Giving Page
In memory of
Ken Bavin. My wonderful dad, lost to Alzheimers but a prostate cancer survivor thanks to research
11th Feb 1937 - 2nd Jun 2021
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This June, I’m walking 100 miles in the month to help beat cancer. My girl squad of friends is incredibly important to me. Through thick and thin, marriages and divorces, miles and smiles we have stuck together and stayed strong. Now cancer has invaded our inner circle. It has no place, it wasn’t invited, and yet it stays … trying it’s hardest to destroy friendships which have remained strong for over 45 years. Walking in June is also especially poignant. I shall be starting my walk on 2nd June, a year to the day that I lost my wonderful dad. Whilst he was taken by Alzheimer’s.. he also had prostate cancer, but was a survivor of this disease due to the treatments and achievements of Cancer Research. Please help us raise money to continue the research into this awful and devastating disease. Help fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page.
