Albert Stewart
My Story
We are doing this for our Grandad - Albert Stewart - who recently passed away due to Cancer. Our Grandad lived with Cancer (Myeloma) for 12 years and, until the very last year, he was able to live with a relatively good quality of health. This was mainly thanks to the amazing work that is done with Cancer Research. The scientists, the doctors, the people who are behind coming up with the drugs/treatments that inevitable help to prolong lives. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
