In memory of
My mum and dad who are still fighting
As some of u maybe aware mine and my familys world has been turned upside down as about a year ago my dad was diagnosed with oesophagus cancer and is still fighting it and doing a bloody good job. He has had radiotherapy and so far it has stopped the tumour growing although he can only eat a liquidish diet he is coping really well dispite being in and out of hospital. He has been a total star .......then another bombshell hit us at Christmas when after going back and forth to the doctors with chest infections, mum was sent for tests, lung cancer was the out come an aggessive form and it had started to spread, she is such a strong person and she just refused to let this get her down. Her consultant Send Her for strong chemo treatment and after her first dose, she was really poorly and for the first time in her life (apart from having children) she had to go into hospital, she was in for a week and this became a regular thing after her chemo she's only a quarter of the way through her treatment and is having a very tough ride but after recent scans it shows that the treatment is working and her tumours have segnifcantly reduced. My parent have been total rocks for each other despite them fighting their own battles, while still being there for my brother and I and all the grandhildren. We all know somene who is or who has been fighting this horrid 'thing' and what has amazed me is not only the strengh of my wonderful parents but of the support given to them and us and its all done though donations Cancer is happening right now, which is why Alexus and I are taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and show support to my parents (although I get out of breath just walking to the car lol). Please please support us and my fantastically strong parents and help raise some money so they and others get the support they deserve and help everone beat this. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
