My Story
This is the time of year when Hamy's family run their hearts out to raise money for Cancer Research. It is a very emotional day as we remember our dear son, husband and Dad as well as all the other people who have succombed to this awful disease and are perhaps currently going through treatment. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
