My Story
Cancer has probably touched most of our lives at one time or another. Every day over 1000 people are told that they have cancer and that shocking number is likely to rise in the wake of the COVID pandemic. I lost my mother to cancer when she was around my age and have lost many friends far too soon since then. Detection and treatment for cancer has developed so much since then thanks to the funds raised by charities like this. I am trying to run 1000 miles during 2020 to try to raise money for this excellent cause. I know we are all being bombarded with fundraising requests but please give what you feel you are able to - if it helps any of you part with your hard-earned just know that my ageing body is taking a hammering on Lincolnshire byways come rain or shine. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
