My Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to be taking part in the Walk 30 Miles Challenge this September to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. A little bit of why.. It still feels like yesterday. The phone call, the silence that followed, and the moment everything shifted — my mum was diagnosed with cancer. Having lost my dad in a car accident before I turned 12, I thought I understood how fragile life could be. But nothing prepared me for watching my mum fight through chemotherapy. The hardest moment? It wasn’t the hospital visits or the waiting rooms. It was the day her hair began to fall, and she asked me: “Will you shave it for me?” My heart sank, but I said yes. Because when it comes to the people we love, we find strength we didn’t know we had. Today, I’m grateful to say my mum is doing well. She is resilient, brave, and a daily reminder of what truly matters. This month, I’m walking 30 miles for Cancer Research UK — not just in her honour, but for every family who has sat where we once sat, hoping, praying, and holding on. My goal is to raise £200, a small step that could help bring hope to someone else’s tomorrow. Taking on this challenge gives me purpose — to turn something painful into something meaningful, to honour the journey we’ve been through, and to keep moving forward with hope in every step.
